Project Cost Control Through Design - Part 1
Architects, have to tackle the sensitive and important concern of project cost control, head-on. They being the first consultant onboard, set the tone for the working, which is followed by other consultants for the project. Although there are many factors that influence project cost, this course deals with only the internal factors such as choices or decisions taken during design. The course guides about establishing project parameters, appearance analysis and design optimization. It breaks down each of these 3 points into understandable and implantable steps. The course introduces tools such as analysis in terms of value, cost and price, standardization and customization for optimization and quality implementation. Once learnt these principals can be applied across projects irrespective of the budgets.
